Republic of Cow Rashtra There was a country called India. If Asia was a cow, it hung like an udder to its belly. Sucking blood streams of people and ideas from the body called Asia and creating ideas that spread all over the world. It attracted many, starting with the Arabs, Vasco Da Gama and the British, who sucked it dry and left behind nincompoops. People who believe that everything that was ever invented was invented here. But deep down inside, India remained the udders in the Asian underbelly. Like an ancient curse, the cows had an intense subliminal grasp over the people. The cows waited with immense patience that only they are capable of. Watching their dung made into fuel cake. Their milk sacrileged in Kurien's Operation Flood. Until a Prime Minister came who spoke like he chewed cud and an opposition leader who is often treated like an imported Jersey cow. On behalf of the people of India, they returned India to whom it rightly belongs... the cow. The Constitution of
